REQUIRED SIGNS CHECKLIST

NYC HPD has list of required signage that owner of residential building need to comply with.The Housing Maintenance Code (contained in the NYC Administrative Code), Multiple Dwelling Law, and the Rules of the City of New York require signage to be posted at buildings, documents to be filed with New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), and notices to be provided by property owners to tenants. HPD required signs refer to signs that are required by the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD). The HPD is responsible for enforcing housing maintenance codes in the city and requires certain signs to be displayed in buildings in order to maintain safe and healthy living conditions.
